Client Surprise

My job is awesome!  Sure, I work any and every day of the week.  Sure, there are frustrations with appraisals, inspections, addenda, etc.  But then there are days like yesterday.  We lost an hour with the Daylight Savings Time change and I stayed up too late the night before chatting with a new old friend (that's a story for another post!) so I was sleeping in.  My phone rang. It was a number I didn't recognize so I let it go to voicemail.  I thought I'd just go back to sleep but knowing there was a message on there was too large a distraction.  So I got up, got my coffee, grabbed my laptop and set about real estate.

Bill and his wife were visiting Reno from the San Francisco bay area.  He wanted to know if I was available to show them some houses.  Part of me was irked...Sunday morning with no warning?  But I checked my website (www.jerianne.rnohomes.com) and saw that he'd been reviewing listings in the area for several months.  I pulled together a list of properties to view, invited my husband to join us, and headed out.

I'm sure it didn't hurt that it was all blue skies and sunshine and a couple of the properties were right on the river...but I attribute the lovely outing to Bill and his wife.  They could not have been better company!  I'm hoping they buy in our area not just because that is my job but because I would love to get to know these people better.  Their humor and kindness would only serve to make Reno a better place!
