Gratitude Day

I learned on Sunday afternoon...which was a plenty wonderful day...that our favorite neighbors are not moving away as we had feared!  It is definitely a reason to celebrate!   And it makes me take a moment to be grateful for some really wonderful people and events in my life.

You'll be happy to hear that my uncle Wally (of snickerdoodle cookie fame) is recovering very nicely from his recent heart attack.  He met with his doctor yesterday and was given a clean bill of health.  Probably better off now than before the heart attack.  Funny how life can work that way.

My neighbor Thomas is coming home from his National Guard deployment today.  The balloons and banners in his front yard make me unbelievably happy.

My friend Regina and her husband Travis just celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary yesterday.  It is so heartwarming and such an inspiration to see a couple that, after so many years, is still so much in love and so kind to one another.

My very funny friend Judy is at a new phase in her cancer treatment.  Do I wish her situation were better?  Absolutely.  Am I grateful that she is feeling a bit better?  Very. Or that I have been blessed with her friendship in the first place?  Without a doubt.  Am I grateful every day for what she is teaching me by her very humor and grace about facing adversity?  More than words can say.

I am grateful for the clients I have and the business I am doing.  I work with a lot of really great people committed to making real estate transactions go smoothly.  Here's a shout out to the Realtors, title and escrow folks, the appraisers, the inspectors and the buyers and sellers that make my job so great!

And who wouldn't be happy about this?  It looks like Coco (and her bee) are here to stay!

What are you most grateful for today?

  1. Of course, you know I'm going to say my beautiful daughter and wonderful husband. They bring so much joy and happiness to my life :-) But, they are just always the top of my list of "gratefulness" I have so much more for which I am also grateful.
