Coco!

My husband and I have owned dogs and cats over the years and shortly after we moved to Sparks our old, old cat Tootie passed away. For over a year now we have been pet-less.  And we have struggled with the idea of getting another animal.  Our solution has been to pet-sit for friends and family.  We get to love a sweet animal and then go back to our normal routine.  While satisfying, it hasn't stopped us from searching Petfinder or craigslist for border collies and Australian shepherds...our breeds of choice.

We're pet sitting a beauty named Coco right now and she is the reason we'd consider getting another dog of our own.  She is gorgeous, has a delightful demeanor and is so smart it is scary!  She is also a great running companion and has already gotten us out for a walk we hadn't planned.  Dean Koontz was right:  Once you have had a wonderful dog, a life without one is a life diminished.
